UPDATE 19TH APRIL 2022 SALLY, in response to your review replies below, this is the letter Vicki wrote to us last week after your technician told us he DID find fault with the bed sag: ********************************************** "Good afternoon, Thank you for your email. 1) Reading Consumer Rights Act 2015 2) Reporting to Citizens Advice Bureau 3) Reporting to Trading Standards 4) Recording issue with 'WHICH?' magazine 5) Recording our personal experience on Review sites such as Trustpilot 6) Contacting the Furniture and Home Improvements Ombudsman 7) Contacting TV Programs that highlight unscrupulous traders such as 'Rip Off Britain', 'Don't get Done, Get Dom', etc 8) Contacting our card provider for a refund 9) Taking the company direct to the Small Claims Court 10) Writing to HRH Queen Elizabeth II with photographs and Homeserve photos to highlight that these products are not worthy of a Royal Seal. We are now about to pursue Hypnos to try to recoup our money, but that aside, with the physical distress we have endured with copious back pain and days off work as a result, we fully intend to highlight our experience with their shocking product and expose this and their service and pointless guarantee to others.this will be including but not limited to the following. Based on his evidence, we were expecting Hypnos to sort it out, but they never contacted us! Chased them and got a standard curt reply saying no fault found and case closed!!! SHOCKING!! Their products may look great on purchase day, but rest assured the mattresses sag badly well before the guarantee is up! Their guarantee isn't worth the paper it's written on. Sleepless nights with unbearable backache and copious visits to doctor, Osteopath and Chiroprator as we didn't realise it was the bed! Technician from Homeserve came out and measured sagging which he described was 'off the scale'. HYPNOS is the worst mattress we ever boughtīefore you write a good review on this company, sleep in your mattress for a few years!!!! This is the worst mattress ever bought, cost over £2,000, not even halfway through guarantee period and it's sagging badly by many inches, with a huge ridge in middle. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to soften the mattress as the furniture store said once bought they can’t do anything? I spent £1800 and am now wishing I had kept my old bed. I am now on night 5 with the ortho 8 mattress and it isn’t getting any better. I went back to my spare room bed where I have been sleeping ever since. ![]() I slept in the bed for one night and woke feeling very uncomfortable, having Rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years does not help either as I need my sleep. The bed frame, headboard and mattress are all of extremely good quality but the mattress is so hard, it’s like sleeping on the floor. ![]() I placed my order in September and finally got the bed late January. I like a firm mattress and was guided to an Ortho 8 with Hideaway divan in a double size. They said that Hypnos does not allow a sleep trial as they are made to order. ![]() The reason I went there was because they had beds to view and was able to lie on them. I love the mattresses at Premier Inn and so decided to buy a bed, mattress and headboard from Hypnos through George Street Furnishers. ![]() After 30 years of having my Dorlux orthopaedic mattress and divan I decided it was due a change.
